As for me not much, both are used to persuade others into a belief or an organization. Witnessing is probably less forward outside that I do not see much difference.

I have it on good authority that one of my Christmas gifts is going to be an antique Kukri. I sincerely hope it has a religious connection, like maybe it was use to kill a priest or something.

A lot of atheists celebrate Xmas. I certainly do. For me, it's basically Thanksgiving + presents and more decorations. It's a nice way to cap off a year, and a bit of brightness and fun in what can be a harsh New England winter. No god necessary to enjoy it or to partake.
