I'm genuinely interested to know if this is just about being proud of your ethnicity just like black, latinos, hispanics and other racial groups are or if it is some kind of subliminal nazi propaganda

It's easy to want to give up dwelling on the past when in the past you screwed with people in ways that still gives you advantage today.

It's harder to give that up when in the past you were screwed with and you suffer from it still.
