7, 7, 5, 1, 2, 4, 8, ?
What's the answer? And, also, provide an explanation for how one arrives at it.

Negative 20?
7-7 is zero and subtracting anything after that would bring one into the negative range, correct?

Sorry, forgot to include the possible options. One of them only is correct.
1
0
7
3
No negative numbers there. So that can't be it.

But there's no = in the end, so the - is probably not a minus sign

Yes, that's just a dash! No minus signs.
Just replaced the dashes with commas.

I honestly don't know, so I'm just going to take a wild guess and choose 7.

Just to be clear, by answer you mean the next number in the sequence and you'd like the method for producing the sequence?
(Don't have a clue so far but I'll sleep on it.)

How about a mirror image of the amount of letters in each number 7(5)-7(5)-5(4)-1(3)-and now the mirror-2(3)-4(4)-8(5)-given the options-7 or 3. No, you wouldn't give two options as the right answer.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Yes, next number in sequence and the explanation for how the sequence is produced.

There's only one correct answer according to the puzzle.
