I'll try and just hang out for a wile to get a feel for the place. I've read the rules and I understand this is primarily an atheist community. I guess the only reason I would have to speak is to respond to issues regarding faith (belief) and other religious practice.
I trust it is ok for me to speak my mind in offering my opinions. I will have no intention of offending anyone, although there probably is little doubt but that my opinions may be received as being offensive. I sincerely hope not.
I don't think anyone will find your views offensive, we are fairly thick skinned here.

Ah I'm afraid here you may be disappointed. In the introduction thread you should be safe but elsewhere our language can get fruity although bullying and trolling are not tolerated.

Good, a grounding in science should save some time. you have no idea of the lack of education some visitors have displayed.
Quote:Just a brief explanation of my 'nick': I'm a malleable substance (ore) which is still being shaped and who's origin is the 'ether', which as you probably know was once thought to be the medium that conducted light (knowledge).
You put more thought into yours than I did mine.
Welcome.

Welcome Etherore! See you on the boards!
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.
Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.
Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.
Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.
Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."
