Out of the 108 names of genesh not one appears on the list you were too quick to post that identify hindu gods who were worshiped as the center of hindu monotheism.

Try looking up Hari Krsna (that is Ganesh and/or Brahman)

nuuupe not on the list of the 108 names of Ganesh per an offical 'about hinduism' web site.

What else you got?

No so.
Lake of fire?
Ever seen the inside of a volcano?
That is where O and the pope will end up (the Antichrist and his false prophet).
It says they will be tormented forever (remember they have NOT begun their final deception and persecution of those who will resist them).
Sounds like Hell to me.
I do not know if all the wicked end up with them, there is a Second death later, but the destiny of those 2 is no metaphor.

One note- I do not consider Hell a major topic or deal breaker within Christianity.

And how do you know the destiny of the antichrist and false prophet is no metaphor? Are we to simply take your word for it? It actually isn't a metaphor, but I never said it was. Being baptized by fire is painful, in this world and the next.

If you knew the true translation of "forever and ever," you would know that that is absolutely NOT what it means.

For the record, you speak of Revelation 20:10, which is this:

"And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."

If you were to look at Young's Literal Translation, the Weymouth NT and others, you would read the following:

"...and they shall be tormented day and night -- to the ages of the ages."

That is because the Greek word "aion" in all its forms does not mean forever in any way, shape or form. It refers to an "age," which has a beginning and an end.

A full (yet somewhat lengthy) explanation can be found here:

http://www.tentmaker.org/FAQ/forever_eternity.html

Furthermore, there are several Scriptures that simply do not make any sense and are in complete contradiction if we were to use the traditional translation. For instance:

1 Corinthians 15:22
For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

There are plenty others.

Let's put all the theists in a gas chamber.
"Bake the children in the pies, sip the tea, watch your demise, tip your hat, don't be ashamed, we're all afraid"

"[God] sounds like an abusive lover, 'But dear, I wouldn't beat you if you didn't make me angry'" - Nope

My problem with religious people is not the fact that they hold the beliefs they do, my problem is when they claim that those beliefs make logical sense. If you wish to hold beliefs in fairy tales, that is fine with me. I still think you're silly, but that is fine. But the moment you claim that your views concerning those subjects can safely operate in any realm other than the realm of faith and/or fiction is the moment you deserve to be called on your bullshit.

My OP phrophecy is proven.

Now, the interesting thing will be to see whether the other theists bite their tongues and allow Miles to have the last say. The alternative is to prove my point further by asserting that their own particular belief is truer than what Miles believes.

After that it continues ad infinitum "no, your belief is wrong because your interpretation is wrong. What I believe is actually proven true by my personal interpretation of scripture"....

I tried it in the wrestling thread, only two theists even bothered trying to defend their version of christianity. And the answer was, "Every denomination is a wrong interpretation, but they can all get you into heaven."

Well getting into heaven is the common denominator I suppose. If there was a god I would guess that he'd only let atheists in, he would be so pissed off with all the bickering christers that he wouldn't want them fucking heaven up.

I think some of the denominations would argue that only they get into heaven, or that at least some of them don't.

Otherwise what, it's like choosing which air freshener to put in your car?
