True enough, but in my experience, the JWs will have a good stab at reasoning with you. So too have many 'church leaders' I have got into discussions with. These 'Trueman Show' guys seem to lean on this 'promise' of revelation, hence they don't need too much going on upstairs (necessarily).

Do they Cherry-pick or believe the WHOLE book. That's what I'm wondering.
If the believe the whole thing - it may be ridiculous! - But I guess, at least they aren't cherry-picking. At least they actually do take it seriously if that's the case. And don't just choose the bits they "like".
I'm certainly not implying its a better position though! I think its either delusion or self-deception/dishonestly. The belief in God ITSELF being delusional in both cases. This is all simply in my honest (and current) opinion.
Peace,

P.S: at SAB (skeptic's annotated bible [website]) there's also a skeptics annoted book of Mormon. Could be interesting if its reliable enough.

Does anyone know how accurate of a rendition of the book of mormon this cartoon is? If its mostly sold it'll save me having to read bloody tedious thing.

Former? As in, they finished the animation, quickly realized what they had been a part of and renounced their faith?

No, as in they left the mormon church, and made a documentary about the mormon church, where this animation was a part of.
