Ask an Anti-Feminist!

I'm having quite the difficulty discerning the two.

MRA's believe in ''male oppression'' bullshit.

While Feminists argue for female supremacy, MRA's are the other side of the coin; hence why Feminists and MRA's are interlocked in an idiotic, pathetic war.

On the other hand - most of the anti-feminists I've met were insecure macho-wannabe pricks, who recently googled "pegging" and their testicles crawled right up inside their bodies as a result.

Just my personal experience, I suppose - but it kinda makes sense.
Anywho... here's my question:

Why should I give a crap about your fear of women (admit it - you just don't have the guts, to call it what it is)? What are the terrible consequences - contemporary or future - of feminism, looming over blissfully unaware society, that would make "anti-feminism" even remotely interesting? (I know - it's a topic that provokes emotional responses, hence its popularity among trolls, but that does not make it interesting)

Why does being anti-Feminist mean I'm a misogynist if only 20% of women identify as Feminists? Not only that, but you have indirectly assumed that only women are Feminists; hence I smell a bit of sexism...

You say you've never had any problems with Feminists, so I take it you agree that banning the word 'Bossy' from the English dictionary will help women become better leaders? Yes?

I see...so the failure lies in your understanding of feminism.  Gotcha.

How did this strong view of Feminism come about?

Do you think the fact that Feminist campaigns such as ''Ban Bossy'' which sought to ban the word Bossy because it may hurt women's feelings (a campaign backed by celebrities and other Feminists too) may turn women away from Feminism?

This is your evidence? Your assertion was that Feminism is a man hating cult, even if you disagree with the "Ban Bossy" campaign (i don't imparticularly), it's far from what you'd expect of a man hating cult

You've yet to get back to me on why "feminists hate men" isn't unfalsifiable dogma btw

And when you suspend your individual beauty you also give up a lot of your humanity. You will do things in the name of a group that you would never do on your own. Injuring, hurting, killing, drinking are all part of it, because you've lost your identity, because you now owe your allegiance to this thing that's bigger than you are and that controls you.”  - George Carlin

Here is the definition of "feminism" from the most respected dictionary of English:

"The advocacy of women’s rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes."

http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/defini...ctCode=all

This is exactly why Feminism is not Egalitarianism. Feminism is based on the premise that women are less equal than men, and thus, furthering the rights of women = equality.

Egalitarianism is based on equality and is gender neutral.  It advocates both men and women rights, if Feminism was about equality, then why does the definition say ''women's rights'' and not both men and women?

...

What a load of crap.

Women do not have equal rights in the world.  If you actually supported equality, you would be in favor of improving the situation for women.

Your claim of egalitarianism is as ridiculous as someone who says that he isn't racist but he hates blacks.

So can I get a simple explanation of why Social Justice Warrior is now considered a bad thing? I'm not hugely clued up on internet culture and this feminism/anti-feminism/gamergate/whatever bullshit that's been erupting online the last couple of years.
My personal views - I am a feminist, or perhaps the accepted term is now equalist. I just wish for the human race to get along, treat each other as equals and work together for a better tomorrow, not getting bogged down in petty disputes over biology/ideology. Just a little pipe dream I've had for a while -.-

"social justice warrior" — a usually derogatory term applied to those who engage in hostile arguments in the name of righting a perceived social injustice.

I don't see why the term for someone who believes in equality needs FEMinism, why Fem? It's implying female, thus not gender neutural. It was created in a time where females couldn't even vote.

At-least in regards to Western countries, I don't think it needs the gender bias name.

So why should I take your argument as something more than an argumentum ad populum?

The fallacy name you are looking for is argumentum ad populum.

We can see very clearly that his "reasoning" leaves much to be desired.

Nice try bud.

I specifically do not believe in God, yet the majority probably do.

My argument of the majority of women not identifying as Feminists attempting to illustrate how off the rails Feminism has truly went; hence why I then used the Ban Bossy campaign as an example.

Because women are the ones that would benefit from gender equality

This is the same logic behind the "If Black people can have a Black History month why can't we have a White History month" argument
