What to do...

RE: What to do...
Ask them how they know they are right. Then compare it to reality ans see if it matches. If it matches, they have a point. Chances are this won't happen.

How can I respond to this? (It doesn't need to be nice)

Although I'm not Catholic, I would recommend taking those questions seriously and think about it.

I'll tackle the "Prove God doesn't exist!" challenge.

Since these twerps go to Catholic School, I'll assume they're talking about the god of the Bible.

The first thing you need to do is ask them if "God" is "loving" and "just".

Guarantee they'll happily say, "Yes!".

You then point out that, according to their Bible, "God" killed swaths of young children, toddlers and babies by drowning them in the "Great Flood".

I would then ask these dimwits if a loving being would drown babies. I would also ask if it is just to drown an innocent child. While they are stammering for an answer, you point out that their god cannot possibly exist because he is a contradiction. A loving being that drowns children? A "just" being that kills innocent toddlers? Such a thing cannot POSSIBLY exist.

Of course, they'll come up with some bullshit to justify this heinous act (I've actually had believers tell me, "No one is innocent!"). But then it's fun to watch them defend the most ridiculous and awful aspects of their religion.

Ah, Thor...I was so afraid you'd left. You are by far my favorite member. I actually reread the "Evidence God Exists" and "Evidence God Exists: Part II" threads and looked at only Thor's posts because they make me fall over laughing. Never change, dude.

No, I haven't left. Just went off for a vacation and I didn't have access to a computer for a while. This forum is far too much fun to abandon.

Glad to hear you enjoy my posts. Cool Shades There are other members here that have me rolling, so it's nice to hear I can have that affect on someone else. Thanks!

I wish you were a Stargate geek, because every time I see a post from you, I usually expect an Asgard in your avatar.
I like the way you think!
...But please stop thinking, it's not you.

Nope, not a Stargate geek. However, I do like the old Star Trek series. I guess you could say I'm a Monty Python geek. "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" is a comedy classic. And nothing is better than some of old Python routines. "The Ministry of Silly Walks", "The Dead Parrot", "The Lumberjack Song", the fish slapping dance... great stuff!

Unfortunately for you, irrefutable proof has been presented. You're only recourse now is to believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

You know, I'm really sorry if I'm sounding like a needy bitch (Please, tell me if I am) but another thing's been gnawing at me. These catholics don't seem to understand that when you die, you're just DEAD. Boom. You've lived your life, and it's time to go. They keep saying "Well, if you don't believe in god, then where do you go?" I tell them what I just said, but is there a better way to get through their thick heads?
