Admittedly, that is pretty funny.

Obviously I don't like being called a phony, and I've thoroughly expressed how I feel about it in a different thread that got shut down a couple months ago.  I already told you my "politeness" (which I consider nothing more than normal, human, common courtesy), is true to how I am. People are going to think what they think. I'm not gonna argue with you about how you perceive me. If the fact that I won't do so just "reinforces" my phoniness to you, so be it. Respectfully and no offense, but I have better things to do with my time.
There is no way you should of responded.

I agree, but you sure made it seem like there was, considering you took issue with the way I did it.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

"There's no way you should have (grammar's a bitch, ain't it?) responded.  That's the point."

I mean... fuck, man, that's pants on head retarded.

What??? My point is that I don't think giving stock answers to questions is very interesting.  Also being a grammar nazi on these forums seems like a full time job.

Precisely.

I have a very nosy neighbor who drops by to "chat" about inane things I don't care about nor do I need to know, and it drives me nuts.

I have one of those, too.

Definition of bigotry: intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself.

Come on, you're on an atheist site! Anti-religious (your word) site! What do you expect?

I'm not sure if I've been directly bigoted toward you personally (may have been) but I know that you've been caught in my shotgun blast posts and victim of the collateral damage of my intolerance of the belief/behavior. You've taken it personal when that was never the intent. Remember my "Kill them all, let god sort it out" post? Not directed at you at all but you took it as a personal offense and I apologized. What's interesting is the "Kill them all......" started out as a catholic saying when eliminating the Cathars.

Guess what, most of us are in the minority with our belief in our communities and we get the bigotry IRL on a routine basis. Happened to me this morning (I'm being prayed for). Bet dollars to doughnuts you don't get it with nearly the same frequency. Here on AF may be the only time you do receive it. I'm not sure why you expect something different or no intolerance. IMO that's not realistic on an atheist site.

So, I can understand that you feel bigotry here, you're in the minority. But don't fault us for speaking our mind about our belief/non belief in an atheist forum.

Want to try an experiment? Try walking in our shoes, not IRL, but just on the internet. Sign up to a xtian discussion site, identify yourself as an atheist and express some atheist views. Then report back.

Maybe I got ya wrong and that was not your intent either. It's much harder to tell when not IRL.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

No, there are a myriad of possible responses that wouldn't have seemed like a canned answer. Hundreds of them potentially. You choose one that is predictable and boring. I mean I wouldn't take it too personal if I were you that I find you phony. I'm an exceptionally interesting and intelligent person and I find most people to be pretty boring in one way or another.

Yeah, the last thing I'm here for is to entertain you. So, sorry but not sorry. I'm gonna stay true to me.
