Banned for NOT finding something wrong with sidewalk. It's where you walk at the side of the road... you drive in the middle, but you don't call the road a "drivemiddle". A roof is not called a "topsplash" even though rain splashes off it and it's at the top of a house. It should have a better name.

Diaper... why? Same with "stroller". Just can't see the point in having your own words for them when we had perfectly good ones.

That is because a sidewalk is an elevated designated walkway that is on the side of the road. The white line doesn't have a sidewalk on the other end, unless it is elevated from the road.

I know what a sidewalk is. I just don't think stuff should be called the first syllable of what it is combined with its location.
