you know, I've only ever given the rules a cursory glancing-over,
not because I don't respect them,
but because I probably don't need to be told not to do most of the stuff they don't want you to do.
If I find the forum that objectionable,
I'll just leave...maybe I'll say why, first, but the point is, I'd leave if I found it too fascist.
If I am the one to fuck up, OTOH, which is unlikely, I expect staff would give me a warning
and then I can either leave, or argue my case, or, most likely,
simply apologize and then not repeat the offense.
I've had some disagreements with people here but I have yet to be flayed for anything.
Maybe I'm oblivious to any real controversies that have occurred, here,
but I figure,
if Admin shows up at your door,
chances are, you did something to bring them there.
So?

For my first year I refused to so much as glance at the rules page, on the principle that if there were any rules I couldn't naturally follow then it'd mean the forum isn't really for me. But now the place is my home and I wouldn't leave even if we got rules I didn't like. I've since read the rules but only just because I like being able to quote them when someone stupid or annoying is breaking or coming close to breaking them.

That explains the "Let's ban Losty" thread in the admin section.

Can I ask, maybe as a special treat one time, if you might flush it first?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

It's true.
I'd link to it but we're all naked in the admin Jacuzzi at the moment.
Stimbo's been drinking so he's providing the bubbles...though it does get a little whiffy...

Dammit. Now I have to change my name so this picture isn't relevant to me!
