Best bit from the linked article:

Quote:Homophobic Muslims were offended by (the) post by” Western University, wrote Twitter user Yasmine Mohammed. She added: “We are against homophobia . . . unless of course if homophobes get upset, then we will happily capitulate to homophobes.”

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

RE: That Gay Thread
Excerpt from a new book "Secret City," about the allegations of a "homosexual network" around Ronald Reagan. Reagan had a scandal as Calif. gov. when his office was outed as full of gays, and in 1980 anti-Reagan Republicans tried to claim Reagan had gay sex.

After hearing that Reagan's gay advisors demanded sex in exchange for jobs, the Washington Post suppressed the story, saying "it was hard to see how any of the alleged activity involving the Reagan aides threatened the public trust." That says a lot about the corrupt elites because it's hard to agree with the belief in those days that demanding sex for political favors was merely private business.

At least gay and trans people have had to actually struggle to gain acceptance. Christians have not had to do that in the western world for centuries.

Wow. Pretty gross.

Why?

We're a diverse species and should be accepting of those that are different from us, so long as it doesn't hurt others.

Being offended does not equate to being hurt.
Dying to live, living to die.
