The idea is that the Trevor Project is a grooming organization because the crisis hotline has an escape feature something all crisis hotlines have is absurd and if a youth doesn't want to out themselves to a potentially abusive parent that should be their right.

This anti-gay trend is getting ridiculous. Why, as a country, would you want to regress instead of progress?

Call me crazy but this seems like an excuse for keeping kids and people away from books so that they don't get educated and see how fake Jesus is.

And on the east coast of Florida, the Brevard County school system removed the Epic app from its computer system, saying it didn’t want kids to have access to material its own school librarians hadn’t vetted. 

“Over 20 years, there’s not really been any history of a sustained challenge like this to our public library service,” said Steve Potash, the founder and CEO of OverDrive, which has been a gateway to e-books for two decades through apps such as Libby and Sora. 

She said book-ban campaigns that started with criticizing school board members and librarians have now turned their attention to the tech startups that run the apps, which had existed for years without drawing much controversy. 

“It’s not enough to take a book off the shelf,” she said. “Now they want to filter electronic materials that have made it possible for so many people to have access to literature and information they’ve never been able to access before.”
