Happened to me in college, cop took my 10 speed stating I didn't have proof of ownership and he'd be taking it to impound. When I got proof of ownership the desk officer said, oops, sorry, the impound was robbed, nothing we can do.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
