I have that many on the assumption that eventually someone is going to come over and bring 12 people with them and if I don't have that many cups everyone will have to share and then we'll all get oral herpes and I'll get sued for not having enough cups for people when they come over so that they get their own drinking container so that they don't spread oral diseases around...
