If one is a disembodied "spirit" (discarnate) how can one 'feel' anything, let alone the 'fires of hell'?
They never seem to go into detail over that.
Pain is the body's way of letting you know that it's taking damage. If there is no body, there is nothing to damage, there for, no pain.
Also, fire....fire relies on heat, oxygen and fuel. What keeps the fires in hell going? Or is it magic fire?
This is why people laugh at religion and those who believe it. It's just sooooo stupid!
It never makes any sense. When you make up your own reality to fit your personal desires, none of it will make any sense, because it's not real. It's not reality.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
