I know you didn't ask me, but it's different telling your kids what you believe and why; and teaching things uncritically as fact. That's the difference between sharing ideas and indoctrination.

I am extremely opposed to indoctrination, and I would certainly think it immoral of anyone to do it. That goes for any kind of indoctrination, it doesn't have to be religious. Of course there are some things very young children have to accept for their own good such as "ovens are hot and will hurt you", but this is not indoctrination, it's postponing the valid explanation until later where harm may come about in the mean time. If it's something you can't convince balanced adults is even vaguely true, it's not something that should be presented as fact.

I think it's very important to teach your children how to think, not what to think.
