Santa Claus is an asshole anyway, and not just because he didn't leave me any shiny presents instead of the school supplies I regularly received during Chanukah.
If you listen to the Rudolph song, it becomes abundantly clear that Santa allows a being who is a little different to be ridiculed and ostracized for that difference...all up until he needs the poor chap. Once he has a use for him, then suddenly it's love and flattery. And more disturbingly, his change of attitude immediately changes the other reindeers' attitudes - like Santa's a cult figure who can change other people's opinions on a mere whim. WTF? What are we teaching our children? Make fun of people who are different? You have to like someone just because an authority figure said so?
