Personally, I'd rather insult religion than religious people.
Saying that, some people are worthy of mockery as well. We have had, and still have, a number of people here who are worthy of mockery. Others, such as CL, fit in extremely well.
I understand the need of some people who feel the need to come to an atheist forum and try to prosletyse/push/justify their beliefs - hell, when I was more militant, I did the same thing on one particular Christian forum - but it's when they repeat the same arguments that I get annoyed and start mocking.
