A camper who witnessed a number of wombats being killed at Kangaroo Valley at the weekend claims he saw a group of men drinking heavily at the camp ground before one of the men got into a vehicle and mowed down the animals.

Police say at least 10 wombats were believed to have been deliberately killed over the weekend at the Bendeela Camping Ground, on the banks of the Kangaroo River, about 20 kilometres north of Nowra. Four of the wombats were feeding mothers, and one joey was found alive in its mother's pouch.

I've never seen a wombat in the wild, I camped at Bendeela, once, it's a pondage where two rivers die.
Kangaroo Valley is a magical place, upstream I've seen platypus.
You drive into it from high and is covered in cloud.
