I think it is. Serial monogamy is having sex, with only 1 person at a time.

This is how almost everyone has sex. You have sex with the person you are with and not anyone else. When you are no longer with that person, you eventually find someone else and you have sex with them and only them.

This is not civilized??

Personally, I think it's healthier, especially when you're young and unmarried, to have casual relationships and date around and have fun. Personally, I don't think sexual monogamy is all that important or something to be considered some amazing virtue. But serial monogamy?? This is what you find uncivilized??

People have sex. Even those who consider it a sin. Most people do not marry as virgins. I guess everyone is uncivilized? In which case it would stand to reason that you have a flawed definition of the word civilized.
