Firstly,
Secondly, "GMT" is not a synonym for "time in the UK". It depends on the time of year. For the summer (between last Sunday of March and last Sunday of October), the UK is on BST (British Summer Time). This is one hour ahead of GMT. The rest of the year, the UK is on GMT.
Since we're within the summer period, the UK is on BST.
So 5:30pm EST is 10:30pm BST at the moment.
Oh my gosh, that's why I was so confused! I had no idea there was such a thing as "BST." Lol, thanks Tib. Learn something new everyday.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
