Maybe it's early - but what is this "commitment to intentionality" of which you speak?

Generally the idea that people can assign purpose to their life and actions within a model of physical reality that excludes the role of meaning or significance.

Naturalism doesn't exclude the role of meaning or significance. It just doesn't provide a ready-made explanation for them. But then, neither do the alternatives which basically boil down to, "it's magic."
