No, otherwise they would not tolerate being controlled. Knowledge is power. I would not say ignorant, there are things that I have forgotten or no interest in knowing such as let's say the evolution theory. I did like genetics, chemistry, biology, and human anatomy and physiology, trig. I did not care for history, English, and literature. So it really depended on what the subject really is.
