But because gods cannot exist and all the evidence tells us that conscious thought is not possible without a physical brain (otherwise anesthesia wouldn't work and neurodegenerative diseases would not be a problem) the situation is more like this:
We're not the ones wasting our only life.
That is the chance you take on Homer Simpson. Theories which are no more than a group of ideas made by educated guesses to explain something that the human race can't explain to completely wipe out any slightest idea of the possibility that there might just be a God. Again, people have a close mind who choose to reject it. Feel free to look up mortal and what that means. We have no concept of forever.
