That could go either way:
On the one hand, Trump staying in marginalizes the Cruzes and Santorums of the world and makes it harder for them to reach voters who are not already in their pockets - nobody is listening to them when the media has Trump whacking at the soundbite pinata and showering them with little treats.
On the other, once Trump's crazy train finally runs out of steam, Cruz and Santorum have the opportunity to look sane and level-headed in his absence. Imagine that.
