I'd be far more worried about Ben Carson.
Why? Cruz and Santorum have name recognition and political clout (even if it comes from shenanigans like government shutdowns and a prior (losing) presidential campaign). And just because you're polling well in October the year before the election doesn't mean you'll win the nomination; just ask Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum, The 2012 Edition, who all, with the exception of Bachmann,* polled in the 20% range and higher during their campaigns in the last Prez election.
*Bachmann maxed out at 14% in July, 2011 but took until January to officially drop out of the race.
We've got a loooooooong way to go before we can say anything for sure.
