America is the world's largest debtor nation.There are few other nations on earth as jingoistic and who spend as much money on war.
The collapse got under way with the recent economic melt down. The economy does not seem to be recovering:The government continues to borrow without an increase in production,a recipe for disaster.The value of the dollar has begun its slide,helped along by printing more money with nothing extra to back it.
America survives its debt by paying the interest. When (not if) it defaults,just once, China, its major creditor, will dump its US paper.The US will be fucked and that will trigger a world wide depression.
One simple way to postpone the inevitable:Get over the arrogant assumption that the US is the leader and sheriff of the free world. (whatever that is) THEN withdraw all overseas troops and adopt a strict military policy of isolation.
