Black Africans are generally insane with some being more bat shit crazy than the other ones. But they are all nuts. In comparison about half of the people in the rest of the world are nuts. So if you are in a room with another person chances are one of you is crazy.
All these statements are incredibly vague and none of this really means anything with regarding Christianity. If you're going to judge people back then by todays standards than the vast majority of them would be considered racist.
Saying that it was a religion that oppressed black people would be like saying it was guns, chains and ocean faring that oppressed black people.
