What is to be gained by "believing" things not properly supported by evidence? What practical use is it?
And how do we differentiate between competing ideas, all of which don't have very good evidence? Isn't it better to say we don't know and wait for proper evidence? What's the rush to jump to conclusions that aren't at all reliable?
