I'm from South Africa and i have been an Atheist for around 7 years now and i used to be a strong Christian.I'm not sure exactly how i became an Atheist but it was some time in my youth when i was debating (or at least trying) to debate with atheists about the existence of God, i was banned several times from the forums i used to frequent regularly for hurling insults at every person that didn't accept my point of view and i was even told by other Christians that i was not a true Christian.After cooling down, i went back to old threads i made years ago to try and read what others had written without trying to be biased, i googled allot of the terms and started gaining an interest.
Long story short, i was a weak Christian from there on out and my interests peaked whenever something was on TV about science, i passed allot of time reading up on the universe (i'm fascinated about the universe).I guess i became a true Atheist when i got annoyed when one of my aunts told me to stop asking ridiculous questions (according to her) and just accept that "God" did it or made it so.
Anyway, English is not my first language so i hope i didn't make too many mistakes.
Also i am looking forward to learning from everyone here.
