Children ARE better off in heterosexual-coupled homes. The problem is that adults think their rights should outweigh the rights of children, but I would 100% agree that a child should have both a father and mother wherever possible.
That's not to say that I agree with taking children aware from their parents or guardians based on their sexuality; since parental stability is even more important still.
