Children ARE better off in heterosexual-coupled homes.

When compared to what other circumstances? Better than being alone on the streets; I think that would be obvious. Better than being in care; probably right. Better than in a homosexual-coupled home; I'm sure I've seen evidence to suggest the contrary. What about the control groups: loving homes, homes with domestic abuse, varied income groups? I think you're making an oversimplification so you're not being clear.

That's all too common in the UK.

but I would 100% agree that a child should have both a father and mother wherever possible.

If only nature weren't so cruel.

That's not to say that I agree with taking children aware from their parents or guardians based on their sexuality; since parental stability is even more important still.
