Orientation doesn't matter in regards to how good of a parent you are.

Children are no worse off in a homosexual home than they are in a heterosexual one. Nor are they worse off in a single parent home. Poverty is a far bigger factor than the orientation of their parents or number of parents.
It's pretty fucked up to say "Heterosexual parents make better parents because it'd be ideal for children to be with their biological parents." That's to say that a mother that gives up her child because she's 16 and can't care for her child properly isn't doing the right thing by giving her up if she chooses not to have an abortion. It's to suggest that the only substitute for biological parents is a heterosexual couple, and that they can't be substituted by a homosexual couple.
"Children need a male and female influence in their life!" some assholes say. Cause we all know parents are the ONLY influences in a child's life.
