No, it's some Americans ripping a fart, back in the early 80ies, if I'm not mistaken. And when Americans rip a fart, it usually drifts over the ocean. So that's pretty much the birth of Political Correctness. No brains involved.
Let's put the blame back where it belongs shall we? Political correctness is the brainchild of the so-called Frankfort school, leftist European intellectuals working in the US. Because the workers' revolution never happened they prompted 'critical' theory to undermine capitalism.
