Uh, yeah, an erection can often be a purely physiological response, like sweat in response to heat, or shivering to cold. It's not something we guys will to happen; even during sexual arousal the erection is an automatic response to that, not something we physically control. I'd post a funny song about it, but this doesn't exactly seem like the place for it . Physical arousal is like that for both sexes, too: some women climax during rape, as do some men. It's not a signal that they were somehow into it, it's just a thing that their bodies did because bodies are dumb and don't bend to context so well.
I say all this because misconceptions like this about what is and isn't possible during a rape cause serious problems for victims trying to come forward, and contribute to a lot of the dismissive crap they have to deal with, regardless of gender. Not saying that you indulge in any of that, CL, but education is its own reward and now you're potentially a point of contact to clear up these false ideas in future.
