Oh gosh, that's horrible. I'm so sorry.

How is this possible, though? I assume a guy about to be raped probably won't get an erection.
Uh, yeah, an erection can often be a purely physiological response, like sweat in response to heat, or shivering to cold. It's not something we guys will to happen; even during sexual arousal the erection is an automatic response to that, not something we physically control. I'd post a funny song about it, but this doesn't exactly seem like the place for it . Physical arousal is like that for both sexes, too: some women climax during rape, as do some men. It's not a signal that they were somehow into it, it's just a thing that their bodies did because bodies are dumb and don't bend to context so well.
I say all this because misconceptions like this about what is and isn't possible during a rape cause serious problems for victims trying to come forward, and contribute to a lot of the dismissive crap they have to deal with, regardless of gender. Not saying that you indulge in any of that, CL, but education is its own reward and now you're potentially a point of contact to clear up these false ideas in future.

You didn't answer my question...
He did, Quite well might I add.

And spontaneous boners prevent teenage boys from getting too uppity.

I know erections are involuntary, silly.
But I didn't know you could get them even when you're not aroused (unless it's morning wood or something). I mean, I'm assuming a guy is not aroused when he's being assaulted and forced against his will.

I really wish I was free to post that piece I spoke of earlier, about the nineteen male rape victims' experiences. Basically, and without being rude, your assumption is dead wrong. Erection and orgasm are basically physiological and, as you say, involuntary. At the risk of getting too NSFW, try to imagine someone forcing you to get aroused against your will, so you can be used as a sex toy for their pleasure. In the words of one of the nineteen safe enough for me to quote:
Quote:I felt powerless and ashamed. I told some people but they kind of laughed it off. I think if gender roles were reversed it would’ve been taken more seriously.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Without consent, why do you think arousal matters at all?
There are actually men who do get aroused from having things shoved up their ass. But if you want to do that to anyone, while you have them bound and bent over a chair, make sure you have their consent first! Also, use plenty of lube.
Mr. Hanky loves you!
