It's not only Catholic doctrine to persecute Jews. The founder of the protestant movement was also notoriously anti-Jewish.
Seems one of the commonalities of Christianity.
Of course, there are thousands of denominations of Christianity claiming to be the one true faith - Catholicism has the advantage of having been there first, when it came to serious organisation. The question is to you: define what "true Christianity" entails.
Which of those thousands of denominations is the correct one (probably, conveniently, your one, right?).
And if they truly all venerate Jesus in their own way, then almost certainly all are Christians.
