Giants and the Square Cubed Law

I'm pretty experienced with Islamic apologetics now, if I remember correctly the explanation to this is that the earth was smaller and therefore had less of a gravitational pull in the days of the early prophets.

There's probably a million things scientifically wrong with that explanation but that's the explanation I've come across before.

A much better explanation would surely be to say that the bones were made of a different material to the bones of the humans of today and were therefore much stronger. But, of course, there's no evidence of these 'giants' ever having existed. Where are the skeletons, for example? If there was actually any evidence for these large humans, biologists would be talking about them.
