True to an extent, but knowing stuff like whether your running back is up against a team with historically good rushing defense is critical to making choices sometimes.
As I said, the site itself gives you those stats. You click on the box beside the player and it tells you how this week's opposing team has done against the player's position. You have to fit that stuff together like a puzzle, but you don't need to go out and research those things on your own.
