A group delusion that can be personalized. People all get to believe in generalized version of the delusion, but the delusion, like finger prints, is never exactly the same. The people with delusions that are close to being the same split off, form their own group, and then condemn the people that don't have their version of the delusion. And so it goes. As the delusions change over time, the groups die off, change, or form new delusional groups.
