All you're saying is that you can't personally imagine any other scenario than us being created by something. Reality does not depend on anyone's ability to imagine it.

As Min said, there is nothing more to atheism than disbelief in God. It's trying to make it more than that which causes problems. Each individual atheist will of course have their own personal reasons for whatever beliefs they do or don't hold.
