As we've seen in Europe it takes the life-span of a single generation for a church to collapse once it loses connection with the population. In the West that's about 85 years, in the developing world it can be as low as 40 years so would die much quicker there once the rot sets in. The critical point to watch is the average age of the congregation, once that starts rising it seems very little can turn the trend round.
