I was trying to explain this to Beccs earlier. I have seen plenty of arguments from BOTH conservatives and liberals that point to the other and say, "yes the 2nd Amendment means everyone has a right to own a gun", but when the sides hit an impasse in problem solving paranoia pits the isles against each other.
Conservatives want guns because they don't trust liberals and liberals want guns because they dont trust conservatives. You know who wins in all this? The gun makers. Just like both conservatives and liberals support law enforcement but rail against an over militarized law enforcement.
The gun makers LOVE the fear between parties They LOVE the fear between classes and parties and races and religions. They LOVE the fear between society and law enforcement. THEY FUCKING LOVE IT. It is great for profits. Just like Jerry Springer and WWE. Sell a utopia, sell Dirty Harry, wrap it in a flag, make tones of money off of both parties.
