Like Ervin said, the Quran doesn't prohibit music.
There are some hadiths which say that music is bad because it "makes hypocrisy grow in the heart" and it is an "intoxicant for the mind" (or something like that). Regardless, the strongest opinion about music in Islam is that is preferable to not listen to music, but it is not haram (not strictly forbidden). So, we can still listen to music if we want to.
