When the Jets/Giants got their new stadium the tax payers they too were still paying for the old one. Same shit is going to happen to the teams who move to LA. The cities they leave will be left with nothing and still paying for their old digs and LA's tax payers will fit the bill for the new digs. Corporate blackmail. "If you don't give me what I wan't I will take my toys and leave".
And just before the season started this last year, I heard the Skins website asking fans what they wanted in a new stadium. I think that got nixed though.
I am fucking sick of the NFL getting away with this bullshit. They socialize the profits between teams, so please tell me why 32 billionaires need a dime from tax payers? Couldn't they pool their own money?
That's why Robert Kraft is the best owner in the NFL. Gillette Stadium? 100% privately funded.
Almost there, why do you need to name your stadium after a corporation or product? What happened to Candle Stick Park, what happened to RFK stadium?
It even used to be "pre game show SPONSORED BY" Not "The Corporate Greed Halftime show".
I am seriously going to stop watching the NFL if they start putting adds on the fucking field like they do in College. Crap, I cant even drive by a fucking local highschool without seeing corporate adds on the sign.
Great, he paid for his own stadium? I think he'd still be rich if he didn't name the stadium after a corporation. The owners profit share on the merchandising that and ticket sales should be enough.
