Couple thoughts:
Less themes. Napoleon's right. You've got a lot going on there. You want the viewer to be drawn to it, not rattled by it.
Try to keep your color use to no more than three. Even one is just fine if it's used correctly.
As a rule of thumb, give your script a backing, a frame, or any kind of effect that separates the letters from the background.
Seriously though - I think its great when someone puts something out there for others to judge. It shows real courage when someone allows themselves to be scorned or ridiculed for a creative endeavor. Thus my kudos.
FYI, my first graphic was fucking terrible. (some of them still are).
I typically go overboard on the number of colors. Unfortunately, I don't think I have the time to fix this.
Awesome idea, though. It's hard not to want to include all of those elements. As well, the figure evolving toward the sun and away from all the religious imagery is spot on.
