I agree with some of the things being said here. I don't think God "helps" people win a silly sports game. I don't think God cares at all about sports, actually.
But it doesn't offend me or upset me either, when people do that. I don't think it's a purposeful gloat or a deliberate pride thing on their part. It's just that to them, the game is extremely important, so they forget to put things into perspective as far as the grand scheme of things go. But we all do that.
