As a single mother myself, I say that Single Mothers do a damn good job. It's not the quantity of parents, it's the quality.
One is not disadvantaged if they have a good single parent. One is disadvantaged if their mother is staying in a relationship 'for the kids'. One is disadvantaged if the police judge the color of their skin. I'm not black. But I do have some grandchildren who are black. I hope when they get older, they will not face the discrimination many today still do.
