I really am surprised if they have really made a turn around from their policy trend of fucking the customer for more each year, because they can. What's to stop them anyway, when only two networks really offer a clean and reliable signal at most locations?
The pay-per-month plans (Cricket, Straight Talk, Boost Mobile) were heavily eating into their profit margins. Those carriers use the major carrier networks/infrastructure and the major carriers get a fraction of what they would get from a subscriber.
So they wisely bent to the trend. My bill, on their new plan, with my unlocked 6P, is $65/month, down from $109. I get the very best data network, the best phone available, and I am month to month, no contract.
